Announcing our 2021 and 2022 Adventures!!!

We are very excited to announce our next two student adventures. TAP Adventures has been traveling the world with local students since 2007. We’ve been to Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, but in 2021 we will be making our first trip to North America and in 2022, we will make it to our sixth continent with a trip to Australia and New Zealand.

We have chosen to announce two trips at the same time for the first time in TAP’s history to give families a few options to choose from.

Our 2021 adventure in Costa Rica will focus on learning the Spanish language. Each morning, our students will participate in language workshops focused on different aspects of Costa Rican life: food, music, ecology, the rainforest… then we will take excursions to practice our Spanish. For example, on food day, we’ll learn food, farming, and cooking terms before heading to the marketplace to shop for ingredients and head to a Costa Rican cooking class. Other excursions will include dance lessons, a tour of the rainforest canopy, kayaking, white water rafting, and a visit to sea turtle breeding grounds. The trip will be 10 days in June of 2021 and will be open to any students from the area who will have finished 7th grade that spring. Because of the language classes and the size of the busses in Costa Rica, this trip will be limited to just 26 students.

Our 2022 adventure will take us to New Zealand and Australia. We will start our journey down under in Aukland, New Zealand, touring the city and visiting national parks nearby. We will participate in a traditional Maori feast, learning about far away cultures – and a lot about ourselves. After a few days, we will transfer to Sydney, Australia, visiting the zoo, the famous Opera House, and cruising through the Sydney Harbor. Our last stop will be to norther Australia, where we will take part in an aboriginal ceremony full of dancing, music, and food, before meeting a local marine biologist and taking a snorkeling trip to the Great Barrier Reef – where we hope to find Nemo! This trip will be 12 days long in June of 2022 and will be open to any students from the area who have finished 7th grade by that spring. This trip will be limited to just 48 students.
