TAP Calendar 2016-2017

Dates/times subject to change due to school activities, sports tournaments, or weather. Please check back often to confirm dates.

At each of the our meetings, TAP will have a breakfast/snack bar.  TAP will provide some water, pop, candy, and snacks, but any parents that would like to provide a more substantial item can volunteer for any of the open dates below.  Muffins, breads, coffee cakes, and breakfast sandwiches have all been suggested.  All items at the breakfast/snack bar will cost $1.  Profits will pay for student expenses while we’re overseas.  

As of right now, all TAP meetings will be held at Oswego East High School from 9am-11:30am for the Peru group – 10:30-12:30 for the Ireland/Scotland group when those meetings begin.

We will meet in Downtown Naperville, where students will be broken into groups, given a series of clues, and participate in an Amazing Race style game. The objective is to get to know you’re fellow travelers, build a team atmosphere, learn some navigational skills, get tested on some Peruvian trivia, and have fun. (Students will need some money for lunch).

We will meet at the local Metra train station and as a group, we will ride into Chicago to visit the South America section of the Field Museum, where we’ll participate in a trivia scavenger hunt. Afterwards, we’ll take public transportation (just like we will in Lima) to get to a Peruvian restaurant to get a taste of Peru’s cuisine. (students will need train fare, museum entry fees, and lunch money)
